Student Portfolios
In order for our students to apply the photography and the Photoshop and digital skills they learn in the course, students have several assignments to complete.
These assignments provide practice in using fill-flash, using wide-angles effectively, doing macro, metering (with Manual Mode and Spot Metering!) black and white subjects, and multiple other subjects. On our last day we review these portfolios, and below are some of the group's favorites from the various categories.

For us, one of the great joys of the course is seeing the images our students make and how these images reveal the beauty of our area. Because of our travel schedule, and our work demands when at home, Mary and I rarely get to photograph our own area, so it is wonderful to see the beauty of this Central Pennsylvania location revealed. Below are some images from past D CNPC courses that aptly show off this area and the students' photography.

Of course, there are many, many more, but this gives you some idea of the beauty, the diversity, and the skills of our students.
